Just released: "Nature in the Hochwald region – discoveries in and near the Sustainability Park“
Losing sight of the wood for the trees – this also applies to the Arboretum Europaeum – Sustainability Park. The small park and its wooded surroundings, bordering the northern edge of the Academy grounds, reveal at second glance that they stand for an important sustainability issue: the diversity of species! Both nature lovers and participants in educational programmes can use this brochure when they go out and explore nature – not only in the Hochwald region, but in the entire Saarland and beyond. The publication is available in German, English and French and goes beyond the content of traditional nature guides. Interesting texts present curiosities and things worth knowing about selected animals and plants, which hikers can find and observe themselves on their tours. The descriptions are put in a general context and make the connection between regional forests and the diversity of species. Price: €10, reduction for class sets (> 30 copies)
